A lot of companies utilise spreadsheets; to track the amount of hours someone has worked (and which clients they’ve been working on); to keep track of petty cash or expenses; to track sick days and holidays, etc. Generally, spreadsheets perform these tasks perfectly well and with programs like Pivot now available, they’re functionality and usability is increasing.

Cost segregation is a technique used by companies in America to accelerate depreciation on their real estate, allowing them to maximise their tax allowances.
When a company performs cost segregation, what they’re actually doing is identifying personal property assets that are grouped with real property assets and then just separating then out within their real estate.
